Jeffrey Chen

Jeffrey Chen is the Director of R&D at Esco, where he leads the strategy, development, and commercialization of the company’s product portfolio. In this role, he drives corporate R&D initiatives, technology strategy, and cross-functional innovation to ensure Esco’s solutions remain competitive and aligned with business objectives.

With over 16 years of experience, Jeffrey has held senior technical and leadership roles across diverse organizations, from a U.S.-based global life sciences company and medical device technology firms to a leading Chinese AI company. His expertise spans fluidic system design, systems engineering, and design for reliability, with a focus on developing scalable and compliant product platforms.

Throughout his career, Jeffrey has worked across R&D, product management, and operations, enabling close alignment between technology development, regulatory requirements, and business strategy. He has driven improvements in system architecture, development efficiency, and cross-regional collaboration across global R&D teams.

Jeffrey leads with structure and transparency. Under his leadership, Esco’s R&D team prioritizes technical quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, while fostering talent development within the team. He also contributes to decisions on technology strategy, product development, and building organizational capabilities.

Jeffrey holds a Ph.D. in engineering, with research focused on aero-engine noise control and reduction.
