Dr. Sophia Liu

Sophia Liu is the Director of Product Management for the Scientific Business Unit at Esco, where she leads the strategy, development, and commercialization of the company’s scientific product portfolio. In this role, she drives product vision from concept to market, ensuring Esco’s solutions meet evolving customer needs while aligning with business objectives and long-term growth strategies.

With over 25 years of combined experience, including 10 years in laboratory research and more than 15 years in product management, Dr. Liu brings deep technical expertise and commercial insight to her leadership. She has successfully delivered multiple product launches across startup environments and established multinational corporations, working at global, regional, and country levels. Her experience enables her to bridge scientific innovation with market-driven execution, supporting Esco’s commitment to advancing laboratory and life science technologies.

She is known for her structured, data-driven approach to product management and her ability to collaborate across R&D, engineering, marketing, and commercial teams. She is focused on building robust product roadmaps, strengthening portfolio competitiveness, and accelerating time-to-market for high-impact scientific solutions.

Dr. Liu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Fudan University and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the National University of Singapore.
